Boston College has parted ways with men's basketball coach Steve Donahue, the school announced on Tuesday.
Donahue, 51, was hired in 2010 by former athletic director Gene Defilippo after taking Cornell to the Sweet 16. Donahue spent a decade at Cornell and took the school to the NCAA tourney in each of his final three seasons.
