Well they did it… CollegeGameDay is not going to Clemson, SC for the biggest ACC game of the year.
6-0 Clemson in the top 5 and in the thick of the playoff chase, will face off against 5-0 and top 25 ranked NC State. CollegeGameDay and ESPN blow it off for this…
@CollegeGameDay going a game that’s going to be televised on FOX. https://t.co/WIEGVo8SUf

I’m sure FOX appreciates the free publicity from the most popular college football pre-game show in the country. I’ll be the first to admit that the ACC is having a rough season, but to ignore Clemson vs NC State is an insult to those teams, and the ACC. It’s also a strange business decision. The game couldn’t even get ABC prime-time national slot. That went to Ohio State and 3-3 Purdue. The Big 10 is another conference primarily tied to FOX.
As I said ESPN is basically promoting a FOX game, and then fails to publicize a conference it’s starting a network with. The Pac 12 is hardly having a banner year themselves, and neither Washington State or Oregon are anywhere near the playoff discussion.
I’m failing to find any rational reason for this decision.
