There is no such thing as good news in the preseason. That's especially true for Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech's Josh Okogie and Tadric Jackson have been suspended indefinitely for NCAA rules violations, per release. Were self reported.

That's right, 2/5th's of the Georgia Tech starting lineup are out indefinitely due to a rules violation. How severe is that rules violation? Only the school knows, but this could be a minor thing, or this could be a season impacting bit of news. In tonight's exhibition the Yellow Jackets started Ben Lammers, Abdoulaye Gueye, Moses Wright, Jose Alvarado, and Curtis Haywood. Zero experience in the Yellow Jacket backcourt.
Update: More on the violation from SI.
The school said it reported to the NCAA results of its internal investigation which showed Jackson and Okogie received apparel, meals and transportation valued at less than $525 and less than $750, respectively, from the same person, whose identity was not revealed. The school says the person who provided the benefits is not a booster and is not employed by Georgia Tech.

''While we never want to learn that NCAA rules violations have occurred, I applaud coach Pastner and our compliance staff for taking immediate action as soon as these violations came to light,'' Georgia Tech athletic director Todd Stansbury said in a statement released by the school.
