The Virginia Tech Hokies jumped out to a 28-0 lead and held off a hard-charging Boston College Eagles team, 42-21. Running back Bhayshul Tuten was unreal and broke the Hokies' all-time single-game rushing record, carrying the ball 18 times for 266 yards on the ground including an 83-yard touchdown run and a 61-yard TD scamper to go along with a 20-yard touchdown catch and another short scoring run. Kyron Drones was spectacular to start the game and finished completing 14-18 passes for 164 yards and a passing TD while rushing 10 times for 40 yards and 2 scores on the ground in the win as well. The Eagles rallied back behind a big 3rd quarter, scoring 21 unanswered points. Thomas Castellanos completed 17-26 passes for 205 total yards and 2 passing scores in the loss.
