Miami basketball has added a 6-6 guard in San Jose State transfer Rashad Muhammad. Muhammad is the brother of current NBA player, Shabazz Muhammad. Due to transfer rules Rashad Muhammad will have to sit out the 2015-16 season and will have 2 years of eligibility to play for the Canes.
"Rashad Muhammad is an outstanding shooter and scorer who averaged double figures at San Jose State in both his freshman and sophomore years,” Larrañaga said.
At SJSU, Muhammad led the Spartans in scoring two straight seasons, with a 13.2 points-per-game average as a freshman, and 13.9 ppg in his second season. In two seasons at San Jose State, he started 25 of 58 games played and averaged 13.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
