The No. 20 North Carolina Tar Heels held off a tough Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets squad and came away with a 68-65 win at home. Seth Trimble was once again a big part of the win for Hubert Davis' club, scoring a team-high 19 points on 5-6 shooting from the floor and 8-9 shooting from the FT line with 7 rebounds and 4 steals in the win. R.J. Davis added 16 points and Ian Jackson chipped in 15 points for the Heels. Lance Terry scored 22 points and Baye Ndongo added 19 points with 12 rebounds to pace Damon Stoudamire's club in the loss.
