4 things to know about the Irish today
We thought this week would unveil big news for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in regards to the 2020 college football season. It appears that the news will have to wait for yet another week.
So here’s the Triple Option:
ACC WAITING GAME
The NCAA Board of Governors will meet on Tuesday next week to (probably) make a decision about fall championships. The ACC, SEC, and Big 12 are likely waiting to make any move after they have been told what the NCAA plans on doing. If the reports about the ACC and Notre Dame are correct, this will help determine the course of action that will happen next.

HELLO NAVY
Navy Midshipmen head coach Ken Niumatalolo and a couple of players met with the media to talk about what’s coming up. Coach Ken isn’t a fan of clear visors, but he is preparing to face the Irish for the first game of the season — whenever that may be.

PHASE 3
Here’s a double shot of Eric Hansen (because it always goes down smooth). Notre Dame is in phase 3 of its re-entry plan. So... good news.
Notre Dame, by the way, has moved into Phase 3 of its re-entry plan, with full team workouts. And the coaching staff is now overseeing the team activities, which include walk-throughs and film study in addition to weight lifting/conditioning.

IRISH EYEING A NEW RUNNING BACK
Of course we still need to wait, but Louisiana running back Logan Diggs is about to make a decision and all signs point to Notre Dame. More to come on OFD later today.
