The Mustangs ran out to a big lead early against the Panthers on their way to an 83-63 victory. SMU more than doubled Pitt on points in the paint, 38-18, and shot 55.8% from the field as a whole. Samet Yigitoglu had his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Kario Oquendo hit four three-pointers on his way to 17 points. Matt Cross and Boopie Miller each scored 13 points. Guillermo Diaz Graham was Pitt's leading scorer and rebounder with 15 points and eight rebounds.
