Recruiting gets a jump on 2019.
The Syracuse Orange started off the 2019 recruiting cycle on a pretty positive (and early) note on Wednesday evening. Three-star shooting guard Brycen Goodine has committed to SU, according to his Twitter feed.

First off, you have to commend Goodine for donning the championship-era uniform there. Like many of you, I wish we were wearing those on the court this year.
Goodine is a 6-foot-4 shooter from St. Andrews in New Bedford, Mass. Along with an offer from Syracuse, Goodine’s other current offer was from a local community college Boston College.
The 247Sports composite rates him as the top shooting guard in the East region, and the 30th-ranked shooting guard in the 2019 class. He’s ranked 189th overall right now.
Syracuse has been loading up on some guards of late, given departures in recent years. Elijah Hughes will redshirt this year after transferring from East Carolina, and Geno Thorpe will play this year after his own transfer from USF. Buddy Boeheim is also committed for 2018 and the team is looking to add Jalen Carey as well.
