According to Richard Walker at the Gaston Gazette, FSU's Terry Whisnant will transfer to either East Carolina or Coastal Carolina. Whisnant wasn't satisfied with is playing time for the Seminoles.
CHERRYVILLE – Gaston County’s all-time leading boys high school basketball scorer and the 15th ACC basketball player in that league’s storied history will end his career elsewhere.
Terry Whisnant, a two-time Gazette player of the year at Cherryville, said Saturday he is transferring away from Florida State and will choose between Coastal Carolina and East Carolina next week.
“I’m transferring because I feel like I need to be in a better situation as far as playing time,” Whisnant said. “I want to go somewhere where I can showcase my skills in an up-tempo style of game.”
