It's going to be one of those seasons in the ACC. The league is going to claw each other to death and the majority of what's left will be tossed to the NIT or out of postseason play altogether. On twitter yesterday, I had someone question Game Sim's prediction of Maryland by 2 in the FSU/Maryland game saying it was too close. Guess not. I had another fan asking me why in the world Game Sim predicted a Wake Forest win over Virginia. That's why. It will be entertaining (they certainly were last night), but it may not be productive.
In the ACC action, BC picked up a good win over Virginia Tech on the road. FSU moved to 2-0 in conference play by winning their first 2 games on the road. NC State coasted for 35 minutes before picking up their effort and putting Georgia Tech away to move to 2-0. A few days after UVA defeated UNC on Sunday night basketball, Virginia went to Wake and lost 55-52 to the Demon Deacons.
