NC State went with a "bizarro world" theme in their 66-62 victory over Clemson Sunday. The Wolfpack who have been known to start slow and finish strong did the opposite on Sunday. The Pack jumped out quickly to a 13-2 lead behind three 3 pointers from Rodney Purvis (Purvis only finished with 11). The Pack frontcourt which has dominated the paint in most games was in turn dominated by Devin Booker. Booker finished with 27 points and 6 rebounds and a few highlight reel dunks (and you can bet his big brother made sure everyone noticed on twitter). CJ Leslie and Lorenzo Brown were quiet offensively for the most part, but TJ Warren stepped up and scored 21 to lead the Pack.
While most NC State fans walked away from the PNC Arena wiping the sweat off their brows, the fact that NC State won this game is another sign of mental toughness that this Pack team has developed. Some people call it a "winning culture", but whatever you call it the Pack are getting there and it will be especially important in March.
