UCLA vs. North Carolina: After battling back from a 16-point deficit, the North Carolina Tar Heels escaped with a win at the CBS Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden over the No. 18 UCLA Bruins, 76-74. R.J Davis made two foul shots with less than 20 seconds remaining that ended up being the difference in the game. Tyler Bilodeau led all scorers with 26 points for the Bruins while Ian "Captain Jack" Jackson led the Tar Heels with 24 points on 8-13 shooting in the win. R.J. Davis added 17 points and Seth Trimble chipped in 12 points despite struggling from the field for most of the game.
