After trailing early, the Demon Deacons pulled away from the Aggies in the second half to get a 45-13 victory. Wake Forest outscored North Carolina A&T 28-3 in the second half. Wake's 515 total yards was more than they had in any game last season. Quarterback Hank Bachmeier established himself as the guy for the Demon Deacons, throwing for 265 yards and three touchdowns in his debut. Running back Demond Claiborne ran the ball 17 times for 135 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Taylor Morin was Wake Forest's leading receiver with six catches for 100 yards, plus a 73-yard punt return touchdown. In his 1st game since the 2022 season, wide receiver Donavon Greene had three catches for 72 yards and a touchdown.
