The Deacs are headed to Annapolis to take on AAC Champs Temple in the Military Bowl
The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are headed to a bowl and will be taking on the No. 24 Temple Owls in the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland at 3:30 on December 27th. Here’s a very brief breakdown of the opponent.
Wake Forest finished the regular season with a 6-6 record, which enabled the Deacs to play in a bowl game for the first time since 2011 when Wake Forest played Mississippi State in the Music City Bowl. Wake Forest head coach, Dave Clawson, has a track record of delivering in year three, and that’s exactly what he did with this year’s team.
Temple is now 10-3 on the year, having just defeated Navy 34-10 in the AAC Championship game. Don’t let the school name or lack of being in a power conference fool you. Temple is an outstanding team who has won 10 games in consecutive seasons, and they are currently 18th in S&P+ ratings and would be strong favorites over the Deacs in this one.
