Like every team this time of year, Pitt heads into its upcoming game a little banged up. The Panthers released their full injury report to the ACC this week and here's a look at the players listed.
Aside from those out for the year, those ruled out for this game include cornerback Phillipie Motley, wide receiver Zach Challingsworth, and linebacker Elijah Zeise. The latter two have missed either all or most of the year but the loss of Motley is one you didn't want to see. Motley went down in last week's game and with the secondary already struggling, the last thing Pitt could really afford is to see another guy miss time.
The guy that could be in his place, past starter Avonte Maddox, has also been hurt and is listed at questionable. In other words, expect to see more of true freshman Damar Hamlin - possibly a lot of him.
Still, the one thing you can count on with the injury report is not to take it too seriously. Consider last week when wideout Dontez Ford was listed as doubtful and still managed to play. Until the players get on the field, there's going to be some guessing as to who is playing and who isn't.
Also questionable are defensive end Rori Blair and linebacker Bam Bradley. Bradley was out last week against Virginia Tech while Blair played.
