More bowl chaos… Yes! That’s what makes college football so great. The ACC has 11 bowl eligible teams. Syracuse and Pittsburgh are the odd teams out for the ACC’s designated bowl slots, but most projections I’ve seen have them somewhere. The Little Ceasar Pizza Bowl seems to be a popular destination for Pitt, and I’ve seen Syracuse in the Heart of Dallas Bowl.
CBSSportsLine Bowl Projections
* The Kraft Fight Hunger could be a bowl destination if the ACC gets a 9th bowl eligible team, but only if BYU and the Pac 12 can’t fulfill their commitment to the bowl.

Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman
Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Annapolis, MD
C-USA vs. ACC No. 8
Projected Matchup: Maryland vs East Carolina
Maryland is not an exciting choice for most bowl game, but the nearby Military Bowl would be pleased to take them.
Belk Bowl
Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
AAC No. 3 vs. ACC No. 5
Projected Matchup: North Carolina vs Cincinnati
Even at 6-6, I don’t see the Belk Bowl passing over a North Carolina team in the Tar Heels. It’s about selling tickets.

Russell Athletic Bowl
Florida Citrus Bowl, Orlando, FL
ACC No. 3 vs. AAC No. 2
Projected Matchup: Miami vs. Louisville
The Russell Athletic Bowl would love to have this matchup. It all depends on what the Chick Fil A Bowl does, do they take Duke or or Miami?

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl
LP Field, Nashville, TN
SEC No. 7 vs. ACC No. 6
Projected Matchup: Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt
I think this a matchup the Music City Bowl would like to get. The Jackets played well at times against Georgia, but a lack of depth due to poor recruiting cost them the game. Vanderbilt was lucky to escape with a win over Wake Forest. This is a pretty even game.

AdvoCare V100 Bowl
Independence Stadium, Shreveport, LA
ACC No. 7 vs. SEC
Projected Matchup: Boston College vs Washington State
I’ve seen so many projections for the opponent here for the ACC. Most have an Pac 12 team, so I’m going with Washington St. BC really hurt itself by losing at Syracuse.
Tue, Dec 31 2 pm CBS
Hyundai Sun Bowl
Sun Bowl, El Paso, TX
ACC No. 4 vs. Pac-12 No. 4
Projected Matchup: Virginia Tech vs UCLA
This is a quality matchup here. Virginia Tech can salvage their season with a win over a good UCLA team.
Tue, Dec 31 8 pm ESPN
Chick-fil-A Bowl
Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
ACC No. 2 vs. SEC No. 5
Projected Matchup: Duke vs Georgia
I am really torn here, a 10 win Duke team or a 9-3 Miami? Miami is a more high profile name, but Duke is a great story. Who will sell more tickets? Does it even matter if Georgia sells out the Georgia Dome? I recommend Duke fans show up in force to Charlotte. You know the Russel Athletic would prefer to have Miami.
Fri, Jan 3 TBD ESPN
Discover Orange Bowl
Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
BCS vs. BCS (ACC champion if not in BCS championship)
Projected Matchup: Clemson vs Alabama
Clemson had a listless effort against South Carolina, but ranked 11th in the coaches poll will keep them in the top 14 of the BCS. The Orange Bowl won’t pass over a qualifying ACC team after the ACC saved it from irrelevance. Would the Rose bypass a Big 10 or Pac 12 team? The Sugar an SEC team? It’s business.

VIZIO BCS National Championship
Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA
BCS No 1 vs. BCS No 2
Projected Matchup: Florida State vs Auburn
It shouldn’t happen. It’s not right, but if Auburn beats Missouri next week they will overtake Ohio State in the BCS rankings. The final BCS travesty. Heck I’m not even an Ohio State fan, and I know it’s wrong. The computers love the Tigers and they seem like a team of destiny.
