Duke took the stage in the Champions Classic against Michigan State and Grayson Allen and the Blue Devils represented the ACC very well with the 88-81 win. Allen scored 37 points to lead a young Duke team out of Chicago with a win over a really good Michigan State team. Trevon Duval was the most impressive of the freshmen as he finished with 17 points, 10 assists, and 6 steals. Marvin Bagley III left the game early after being poked in the eye and didn't return. Everything points to the injury being minor and Bagley not missing any extended time.
Elsewhere in the ACC, it seems as though I jinxed Wake Forest when I made the comment yesterday the league shouldn't have any problems since Pitt wasn't playing. Wake Forest may have fallen into the punchline of my jokes as the Deac dropped a game to Liberty to fall to 0-2. NC State, Syracuse, FSU, and Boston College all walked away with wins on Tuesday night.
Tonight, the ACC has 2 games on the schedule as Pitt hosts UC Santa Barbara and North Carolina faces Bucknell in Chapel Hill.
The NCAA on a couple of items related to ACC teams yesterday. The good news is Braxton Beverly was ruled eligible to play after all prior to NC State's game against Bryant. On the other side of things, Tadric Jackson and Josh Okogie received their suspension rulings.

Video of the Day
Duke senior guard Grayson Allen scored a career-high 37 points against No.2 Michigan State Tuesday night in Chicago. Allen picked up the slack after Marvin Bagley went down with an eye injury in the first half. Allen and Coach K shared their thoughts on the incredible performance after the game.
