Welcome to the 2014-15 college basketball season. Every ACC team jumps into action tonight except for FSU who plays tomorrow. While several teams open up with cupcakes, there are some quality matchups tonight.
- Louisville takes on Minnesota in a battle of the Pitino's. The game is being played in Puerto Rico as part of the Armed Forces Classic. The Cardinals are breaking in some patriotic uniforms for the game too.
- Georgia Tech hosts in state rival Georgia, although in looking for write ups on the game you'd think it was still football season. Oh wait. Update: The wonders of twitter, I was pointed to this article with Brian Gregory talking about the game.
- Virginia travels to James Madison and will be playing without their starting point guard London Perrantes. Virginia is clearly the more talented team, but... nah, they wouldn't lose the opener.
