While Duke picked up a win in the Coaches versus Cancer Classic, Saturday wasn't exactly a banner day for ACC basketball. FSU took another blackeye losing to Providence by 26 points while Virginia Tech lost to Appalachian State at home on a last second shot. That said, at least no one called a timeout without having any.
Duke defeated Stanford 70-59 behind the continued solid play of Quinn Cook. Cook earned the Tournament MVP for his great play. Also on Saturday, Notre Dame defeated UMass 81-68, UNC rolled past Davidson 90-72, and Clemson broke a two game losing streak beating Nevada 59-50.
Today, Massachusetts continues their trip around the ACC playing FSU (3rd ACC opponent already for UMass). Notre Dame will take on the same Providence team that blitzed FSU on Saturday. Also in action on Sunday, NC State takes on South Florida, BC plays Daytona, and Miami takes on Charlotte.
