The Seminoles looked impressive on Sunday night in a 85-61 win over Maryland. FSU made 16-24 3 point shots while Maryland made just 3-18 from beyond the arc. Consider the 39 point differential between the two teams and that is the ballgame in a nutshell. Ian Miller led the 3 point attack making 6-8 from long range and finishing with 20 points to lead FSU. The Seminoles move to 2-1 in conference play while Maryland drops to 2-2.
I'm still getting used to the ACC having games on Big Monday, but we have two conference matchups tonight. Duke takes on Virginia and Syracuse goes to Chestnut Hill to take on Boston College.
After Duke's loss to Clemson, Rodney Hood was asked about Duke's matchup with Virginia. In Hood's response, he basically said the Cavaliers are essentially the same team as Clemson, but with more talent. As we all know, Duke lost by 13 to Clemson, so the Blue Devils will most certainly need to step their game up tonight in Cameron.
Syracuse currently sits at 3-0 in ACC play, but when you consider 2 of the 3 wins have been at home and the 3rd was at Virginia Tech you realize the Orange have yet to be tested in conference play. Of course, that trend is unlikely to change tonight at Boston College.
