FSU handled Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl last night as most people expected they would. The Seminoles win gave the ACC a respectable 4-2 record in bowl games. On the basketball court Maryland and Clemson both won easily in their final non-conference matchup before conference play begins on Saturday. Maryland's bench outscored IUPUI's bench 43-2 in their 81-63 win. Clemson was led by Adonis Filer who was 7-7 from the floor and 4-4 from 3 point range as he finished with 21 points.
