The ACC won all 3 matchups against high major opponents on Sunday afternoon.
Perhaps the most impressive ACC team was Florida State who got a much needed marquee non-conference victory over Florida. The Seminoles showed length, athletcism and the ability to put the ball in the basket. The performance has me sold on FSU being one of the top 5 teams in the ACC.
On the other hand, UNC struggled to beat Tennessee. North Carolina trailed by 8 at halftime as they were once again playing without Joel Berry II. Nate Britt and Tony Bradley made key plays down the stretch to key the comeback victory. Offensive woes beset the Heels on Sunday evening as North Carolina made just 2-17 three point attempts and under 50% inside the arc.
Virginia Tech topped Ole Miss in the other matchup of the day winning 80-75. The Hokies were led by Ahmed Hill's 20 points, while LeDay (15 pts) and Clarke (12 pts) each added double-figures. The Hokies continue to be a dangerous team from 3 making 10-26 against Ole Miss. On the season, the Hokies are making 39% of their long range attempts.
