The big news from Monday was the news that the NCAA was finally ready to hold people responsible for the NCAA infractions that took place at Miami under Frank Haith's reign. It appears Haith and other coaches from his staff could be in deep trouble. Here are a few snippets, but go read the full article.
Last week we provided a fairly big update regarding the ongoing investigation that the NCAA is conducting into a large scale violations report against Miami. In that update, we stated that we had heard from multiple sources that the NCAA was treating this situation as a group of rogue individuals rather than punishing the University by itself, which could potentially be huge regarding the eventual sanctions.

The NCAA is expected to release a notice of allegations as early as this week regarding the Miami investigation. A source close to the situation told CBSSports.com that former Hurricanes and current Missouri basketball coach Frank Haith is expected to be charged with unethical conduct and failure to promote an atmosphere of compliance.
According to NCAA rules, Haith will have 90 days to respond to the allegations. You can bet Haith will use all 3 months to respond so that he can finish up the season with his top 25 ranked Missouri squad. The good news for Miami fans is that the school isn't being held responsible, but that individuals (who are no longer at the school) are being targeted.
Tonight, there are two games in conference play. NC State goes to Winston-Salem in a game that means much more to Wake Forest than the Pack. This will be another test of NC State's mental toughness, do they show up and take care of business or let Wake Forest's young squad hang around and have a chance? Game Sim says it will be the latter. See below.
In the other matchup of the night, Maryland hosts Boston College. Game Sim likes the Terps to win fairly easily, but I'm not so sure. Mark Turgeon is still looking for answers on the offensive end and Boston College has shown the talent on the roster is improving. My suggestion to Turgeon is shorten the bench. If playing 10 guys hasn't helped you find the right combinations, then start giving combinations extended time and start trimming the fat when it doesn't work. It is tough to find offensive consistency when you're constantly looking over your shoulder to see if your minutes are up.
