Just like Monday night, the ACC and Big Ten split Tuesday night's matchups with each league winning 3 games. The marquee matchup of the night delivered in every facet with Marcus Paige returning to the floor to lead UNC past Maryland 89-81. Outside of some first half turnover sloppiness, the game was fast paced and both teams made shots. Someone made the point on Twitter (and I can't remember who or I'd give them credit) that this game is exactly what the NCAA hoped to have more of when they made the rules changes this past offseason.
Tuesday also featured two OT games with Northwestern executing better late and topping Virginia Tech. Miami escaped with a road OT win over Nebraska thanks to some good defense and big plays from Davon Reed, Angel Rodriguez, and Sheldon McClellan.
Purdue handled Pitt quite easily, Michigan outplayed NC State, and UVA topped Ohio State without London Perrantes who had to have an appendectomy on Monday.
Tonight, Louisville and Michigan State face off in the best matchup of the night. It will be the first true competition that Louisville has faced this season, while the Spartans have been tested early. It will be curious to see if the Cardinals are knocked back early.
Duke and Indiana face off at Cameron and the Blue Devils consecutive win streak against non-conference opponents will be on the line. The Hoosiers recently lost to Wake Forest in Maui, and would love to pick up a big road win at Duke.
Those games and more on the schedule tonight. Check out links, previews, predictions and more below.
