Syracuse moved to 7-0 in conference play on Wednesday and avoided the vaunted "trap game" at Wake Forest. The Orange were just too much to handle on the boards for Wake Forest in the 67-57 win. NC State picked up a 74-70 win over FSU. TJ Warren was dynamite early, but it was his teammates that picked up the slack when Warren got in foul trouble late. The Wolfpack are starting to figure out, at least in Raleigh, how to win close games. UNC took another step in the right direction with a win at Georgia Tech. Maryland avoided a late collapse against Miami, thanks to a Dez Wells' 3 late. Boston College figured things out for one game in a 76-52 victory, but perhaps it was just a lowly Virginia Tech team that provided the cure.
