ACC basketball is back in full effect after an opening weekend that saw several really close games. While Maryland travels to Pitt tonight, the focus shifts to FSU's attempt to win a BCS National Championship over Auburn. Check out coverage of FSU's game here. Game Sim likes the Seminoles to win 38-21.
Last night, Wake Forest beat UNC 73-67 despite the Deacs not rebounding and shooting free throws poorly. At one point late in the game, nearly 80% of Wake's made field goals had come off layups. Those layups were mostly off of turnovers where the Heels had a difficult time hanging on to the ball. The UNC loss means it is the first time ever that Duke, UNC, and NC State have all started off ACC play with a loss. Take a look at the standings below and it is truly bizarre.
