I guess you could say this is a big day of basketball in the ACC. Seven games including ACC teams, six conference games, the two top teams in the league in Duke/Syracuse, a local rivalry in UNC/NC State, a "holy war" between BC and Notre Dame, and so much more.
The marquee matchup today is of course Duke and Syracuse. A record crowd is expected for the game and ESPN GameDay is there. Game Sim likes Duke to win by 3 at the moment, and the differential should be telling. The 3 point shot could very well be the difference in this one. As good as Syracuse is, they can't afford to let Duke have a strong day from 3 like the Blue Devils did at Pitt. The Orange simply aren't as efficient on their offensive end. Outside of Trevor Cooney and to a lesser extent, Tyler Ennis and CJ Fair, it just isn't in the Syracuse arsenal.. Syracuse will have to counteract Duke's 3 point shot by getting 2nd chances. Rebounding will be a huge factor, particularly since both teams do a good job taking care of the ball.
