Something tells me that Virginia head man Tony Bennett just wants this off-season to be over. He’s already lost two guards to transfer, now the second most important player on his team has a broken hand.
According to Whitelaw Reid, Akil Mitchell broke his hand.

The camp in question was LeBron James’ camp, so if Virginia fans want someone to blame, they know who to look at.
Anyhow, luckily for Mitchell it’s only July so there is plenty of time to heal. Word is, he’s out four to six weeks.

Mitchell’s health is key. After averaging a solid 13.1 points and 8.9 boards as a junior, he along with Joe Harris, are expected to lead Virginia back towards the top of the ACC and back into the NCAA Tournament.
