AHHHHHH
AHHHHHH
YES
SURELY THE ACTUAL JOURNALISTS OUT HERE HAVE MORE TO SAY BUT LET ME DO MY BEST IMPRESSION OF THEM RIGHT NOW IN THEIR ABSENCE:
Scott Barnes, Pat Narduzzi, and Chancellor Gallagher, as well as their predecessors and their counterparts a few miles south, have been commenting on the possibility of bringing back the Brawl since it ended in 2011. Pitt fans have debated whether they'd prefer to play Penn State or West Virginia, and now there's a possibility that within ten years there will be seasons with both on the docket.
The announcement details four match-ups from 2022 through 2025, with Pitt hosting the Mountaineers at Heinz Field on September 17, 2022 to open the series. They will come to Heinz again in 2024, and the Panthers will be making the trip to Morgantown in 2023 and 2025.
