The afternoon begins with a fantastic noon game between #2 Florida State and #10 Louisville. The line on that game is currently 1 points, so it should come down to the fire. Lamar Jackson is the very early Heisman frontrunner, and he can generate a lot more momentum if he’s able to lead the Cardinals past the Seminoles. Another fun game during that time slot will be Appalachian State hosting #25 Miami. App State nearly knocked off Tennessee in Knoxville several weeks ago, and they are more than capable of upsetting Miami in Boone.
At 3:30, the #1 Alabama Crimson Tide travels to Oxford to take on the Ole Miss Rebels, who have beaten the Tide each of the past two seasons. Bama is an 11-point favorite, but it could be an excellent game. East Carolina at South Carolina should be an exciting game to have on a second screen or to flip to when the Bama game goes to commercial.
At 6:30, clearly the Wake Forest vs. Delaware matchup is the one that we all care about. If you cannot make it out to BB&T Field to watch the Deacs in person, then you can find them on ESPN3. At 7:30, there is going to be a very intriguing game between #14 Oklahoma and #3 Ohio State. Oklahoma already has one loss on the season, and will probably be out of the College Football Playoff picture with another loss. At the exact same time we have a classic matchup between #12 Michigan State and #18 Notre Dame.
In the nightcap, there’s some potential for #Pac12AfterDark. USC plays at #7 Stanford and #11 Texas plays at California at 10:30 p.m.
Some of the staff will probably be watching the games, so feel free to use this as an open thread and chat with us throughout a great day of college football.
