Duke football may have just re-energized the program by landing a commitment from 2017 QB Jack Sears.
Sears is coming off of a junior season where he completed 193 of 270 passes for 2,697 yards while throwing 38 TD passes against just 2 interceptions. Sears also had offers from UCLA, USC, Arizona State, FSU, Tennessee, among many others.
Michael Felder of Bleacher Report had high reviews of Sears when he saw him recently...
Jack Sears, uncommitted from San Clemente HS. What a damn baller. Great athlete, even though listed as pro style, who gets it done at QB

Jack Sears, another elite passer in this class. Kid has off the charts athleticism to go w his growth as a pocket distributor. High ceiling

247Sports has Sears as the 5th best pro style QB in the class.
