Finally, ACC conference play is here and all 12 teams are in action this weekend. Normally, I'll post game sim predictions in my daily morning linkfest posts, but today, I thought a Game Sim post was fitting. Let's take a look at this weekend's action.
Wake Forest at Duke - The Blue Devils won close to 80% of the matchups and a quarter of the matchups were considered blowout wins. Game Sim likes Duke to win 74-64 over Wake Forest. Sim the game here
Virginia Tech at Maryland - Maryland has only played 3 opponents better than Virginia Tech all season long (according to Pomeroy) so it should be interesting to see how the Terps perform. Game Sim likes Maryland to win at home 71-64. Sim the game here
Miami at Georgia Tech - You have to think Reggie Johnson will be missed against a big Georgia Tech frontline, and Game Sim agrees. Game Sim likes Georgia Tech to win 61-56 at home. Sim the game here
NC State at Boston College - The Wolfpack have more experience and are more athletic than Boston College. Steve Donahue recently said he feels like his team has to outscore the Pack to have a chance. Game Sim doesn't think they'll do it, and likes NC State to win 72-60. Sim the game here
FSU at Clemson - This game may not get the most attention, but it may be the closest game of the day. Game Sim likes FSU to win at Clemson 63-62. Sim the game here
UNC at Virginia - This one may the game I'm looking forward to the most. UNC's up-tempo offense against methodical Virginia. Can the Heels score enough in the halfcourt to have a chance? Game Sim likes UNC to win on the road 67-58. Sim the game here
