The former Wake big man has had some fun highlight videos
John Collins has had a busy few months after he declared for the NBA Draft and began practicing/traveling/working out with NBA teams in a variety of settings to prepare for Thursday night. One thing that has not changed is his ability to “wow” anybody who sees him workout.
From his impressive explosiveness, to his apparent ability to shoot threes, Collins has worked out with 10 different teams, and nearly all of them have had something to positive to say afterwards.
Here are some examples of his workouts in recent days:

Obviously with highlight reels it is always the player at his best, but the stroke that he is demonstrating from behind the three point line is something that could improve his stock big time. It is known that he can score around the basket, but by showing this range it changes the type of weapon he can be on offense, and increases the likelihood of somebody taking him in the lottery.
Ned did a brief “Mock Draft” wrap-up earlier this morning to see where Collins was predicted:

I think it is realistic to start listening for John Collins around the 10th overall pick, and he should absolutely be off the board by 18. Whether or not he will land in the Lottery (top 14) is still very much up in the air, but he has done pretty much everything he can to sell himself at this point.
The Kings (10th pick) worked him out twice, the Hornets worked him out (11th), as did the next three picks in Detroit, Denver, and his home team Miami Heat. Personally I think he would be a great pick in Miami and think that is where he will land.
