In cased you missed it, the Hokies landed yet another athlete for their 2017 recruiting class.
Kalil Pimpleton is a 5’7, 155 pound prospect from Michigan and over the weekend, announced that he would be joining the Hokies 2017 recruiting class.
Pimpleton is now the 9th commitment for Virginia Tech in their 2017 class and is an intriguing prospect to look at, as he could play several positions. More than likely, you will see him on the offensive side of the ball as a receiver but in high school at Muskegon High, he has been playing quarterback.
This past season, he ran for 1,091 yards and 17 touchdowns, while also throwing for 1,180 yards and 10 touchdowns.
“I couldn’t do anything but smile. A coach from Virginia Tech called and he told me they wanted me to be one of their guys,” Pimpleton told Mlive.com back in March when he received the offer. “Instantly, I started crying. It’s just a blessing to get my first D1 offer and go to college for free.”
He also held an offer from Eastern Michigan.
