Louisville is your 2013 National Champions, so obviously the question is who will win the 2014 National Title. First let me say I went to the National Title game Monday, and it was well worth the 2 hour drive from South Carolina to attend. It was a fantastic game, though my Michigan grad buddy, left unhappy it was still a fun time.
There were some nervous moments before the game though, when it appeared that only a grand was going to get you into the game. That would have left us a in sports bar watching things. Luckily about 15 minutes before the game, a reasonable transaction was completed, and I was at the Final 4 watching the best guard play I’ve seen all year.
Congratulations to Louisville on your national title!
On to the way way too early polls. These are actually pretty meaningless, but still interesting conversation pieces….

Judging by all these Pre-season polls why bother playing next because Kentucky with their heralded recruiting class will dominate the world. How did that work out with this year’s Kentucky’s team that lost to Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT? I’m very surprised so many polls have anointed the Wildcats the country’s number 1 without not ever having seen most of their team play a single game.
Considering in most polls Syracuse, Duke and UNC make up 3 of the top 12 teams in the country, and Notre Dame, Virginia and Florida State getting some top 25 recognition it reminds me of the ACC’s old days when there multiple top 25 teams.
The 2013 season just ended and I’m already ready for the next one.
