Not great.

Well, we almost made it to the two-week mark without any devastatingly awful news coming out of Louisville’s fall camp.
That changed Saturday afternoon, with U of L announcing that wide receiver Caullin Lacy will miss 6-8 weeks with a broken collarbone.
Lacy was regarded by some as the best receiver in the transfer portal after hauling in 91 passes for 1,316 yards and seven touchdowns last season at South Alabama. That reception total was the fifth-highest in the FBS and his yards were the sixth most.
The word throughout fall camp has been that Lacy was looking like the player most poised to lead Jeff Brohm’s aerial attack in receiving this fall. Now, that distinction — at least for the first half of the season — will fall to someone else.
It’s time for some playmakers to step up and seize this opportunity.
