Miami travels to Florida Atlantic tonight in what is perhaps the biggest game in Florida Atlantic history. The Canes are battered and bruised at their skill positions, but should still win provided their focused and ready to impose themselves physically.
It’s the biggest home game in the relatively brief history of Florida Atlantic football. A loss is expected. A win would be a seismic event.
For Miami, it’s just another game — and had better not be anything more.
Those are the stakes for two South Florida programs entering an historic matchup Friday night in Boca Raton. The Owls have never hosted a major-conference opponent, never played on national television or to a sold-out home stadium.
