The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be booking new plane tickets in November from Hawaii to Las Vegas. The Maui Invitational will now take place in Las Vegas on November 22-24. Due to the ongoing pandemic, travel restrictions, and COVID-19 protocols in Hawaii the change had to be made. With the pandemic going on in 2020 the Maui Invitation was moved to Asheville, North Carolina with back to back years the Invitation has not been in Hawaii due to COVID-19.
“I want to thank the event organizers, KemperLesnik and their Vice President Tom Valdiserri for their patience and understanding over the past weeks and months as we monitored the public health developments together. We appreciate Maui’s partnership with them and we look forward to their return to their home court here on Maui in 2022,” Maui Mayor Michael Victorino said.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 government guidelines and state of Hawaii travel advisories and restrictions, the 2021 Maui Jim Maui Invitational will be relocated to Las Vegas.
