The Fighting Irish fought all the way to the end and held on for a 70-65 victory over Wake Forest. Notre Dame freshman phenom Markus Burton played like a seasoned veteran with 31 points on 9 of 15 shooting from the field to go with 4 steals and 3 assists. Carey Booth chipped in 15 points with 5 rebounds for the Irish. Kevin Miller led the Demon Deacons with 16 points and 5 assists.
