The No. 18 Pitt Panthers picked up a road win in their ACC opener with a 64-59 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies. Jeff Capel's team finished the game on a 15-3 run as they erased a Tech deficit. Jaland Lowe led the way for Pitt with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 4 steals while Ishmael Leggett added 17 points and 4 assists in the win. Tobi Lawal paced the Hokies with 16 points on 6-10 shooting in the loss.
