With their courtship of Antonio Blakeney now over, Rick Pitino and company appear to have their full focus on making P.J. Dozier the fourth member of Louisville's 2015 recruiting class.
The first step in making that goal a reality came Wednesday, when Pitino and assistant coach Kenny Johnson paid Dozier an in-home visit. The next will come on Oct. 30, when Dozier takes his official visit to U of L.
"The visit went extremely well," Perry Dozier Sr. told SNY.tv. "Coach came in and he was very warm and just got right to the point. We talked. It a was a great visit."
Getting Dozier on campus for the night of the Florida State football game is a massive win for U of L. Another big win is Dozier Sr. saying the family doesn't mind that Louisville has only zeroed in on Dozier after Blakeney's decommitment.
"This is a business and we wouldn't even be talking to Coach [Pitino] if we didn't think it was a good fit for P.J.," Perry said. "Everybody gotta make their decision on what's the best home for them and we think that's a good place for P.J. and that's why we're talking to them. All that didn't make a difference. We're clear with the coaching staff on how things are done. We don't even spend time discussing [Blakeney], that's under the water."
Dozier, a 6'6 shooting guard, is rated as the No. 33 overall player in the class of 2015 by Rivals.com. He will take an official visit to Michigan this weekend.
