This game can be summed up in one sentence: Are the Terps for real?
Tomorrow's game in Baltimore is the quest for respect. Maryland has easily disposed of its first three opponents yet there is been no recognition nationally. That's probably deserved but it creates the opportunity for the West Virginia game to be the coming out party. It won't be easy.
The Terps have lost 7 straight to the Mountaineers. There's a ton of baggage there. However, for the first time in a long time, the Terps have more talent. Maryland is loaded with offensive stars. CJ Brown has been unstoppable. Stephon Diggs would start on an NFL team right now. Deon Long and Brandon Ross ooze with talent and potential.
West Virginia has recent history on its side. Sometimes, that is enough. Tomorrow, it won't be. I think the Terps and their new uniforms will feed off a large crowd in Baltimore and assert their right to be recognized.
It's going to be a grind. I expect a close one with Terps pulling it out 32-27.
