1) Chazz Surratt, North Carolina
North Carolina doesn’t only have top flight players on offense. Chazz Surratt is this year’s number 1 ACC linebacker going into the 2020 season. After a great 1st team All-ACC season in 2019, the Senior is looking for All-America honors in 2020. His 115 tackles and 15 tackles for loss had him runner-up for the ACC defensive player of the year last season. He could end up being a first round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.
2) Rayshard Ashby, Virginia Tech
Bud Foster might be gone as DC, but a very good LB returns in Rayshard Ashby for Virginia Tech. In 2019 he was named the ACC LB of the week 5 times, and led the ACC with 120 tackles in a 2nd Team All-ACC season.
3) Charles Snowden, Virginia
Charles Snowden and Noah Taylor may form the best pair of linebackers in the ACC. At 6’7″ Snowden at has the frame NFL scouts covet. He had 72 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss He is a definite NFL prospect that should go somewhere in the middle rounds.
4) Max Richardson, Boston College
Boston College had to be thrilled when Max Richardson returned for senior season. Last season Richardson was 2nd Team All-ACC pick in season where he had 108 tackles and 14.5 tackles for loss.
5) David Curry, Georgia Tech
Georgia Tech’s David was one of the most active linebackers in the ACC in 2019. He had 97 tackles, with 2 sacks, a fumble recovery, and interception, and 6 tackles for loss.
