A short post, but one that may concern many ACC fanbases. It’s early, but the ACC is not looking good when it comes to number of bids for the NCAA Tournament.
These projections were made before the completion of the ACC/Big 10 challenge which the ACC lost 8 – 6.
https://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2019-12-03/2020-ncaa-mens-basketball-bracket-projected-about-100-days has just 5 ACC teams with bids
1 seeds – Louisville, Virginia
2 seed – UNC
3 seed – Duke
4 seed – Florida State

What must concern the rest of the ACC is that with the non-conference portion of the season coming to a close, there are scant few opportunities left to pick up notable OOC wins.
If I’m looking at the rest of the ACC, I see Pittsburgh as the next closest to get in. At 7-2, with wins already FSU, KState, and Northwestern, it is probably only the Nicholls State loss that keeps them out.
