He’ll be at SU on September 8.
Four-star 2018 point guard prospect Jalen Carey announced his top six schools less than a week ago. And according to Rivals’ Corey Evans, he’s already getting to work on scheduling visits with those programs.
Thus far, he’s locked in four dates, with one more to go between the Villanova Wildcats and Rutgers Scarlet Knights (it’s going to be Villanova).
- August 25: Miami Hurricanes
- August 30: Connecticut Huskies
- September 8: Syracuse Orange
- September 29: Kansas Jayhawks
Carey is a 6-foot-3 point guard from New York City, ranked the 14th-best point guard in the class by 247Sports (and 59th-best player overall). The composite rankings, which average his rank on the major recruiting websites, as him as the 11th-best PG in the 2018 class.
As our own Ben Sigel has mentioned before, Jim Boeheim and the SU coaching staff have made Carey a priority for the upcoming class. He’s being recruited by transfer Elijah Hughes and four-star commit 2018 Darius Bazley on Twitter as well.
Playing in the EYBL this summer, Carey averaged more than 18 points per game, leading his team. He earned honorable mention at Peach Jam, which noted the top 24 players on the circuit.
Highlights below, for those who didn’t get a glimpse last time around.
