As the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball roster takes shape for the 25-26 season, two incoming freshmen were part of the Jordan Brand Classic.
Kiyan Anthony and Sadiq White were on opposing sides on Friday night in Washington DC and it was Anthony who got the win and the MVP award. Kiyan scored 26 points on 11-15 shooting (3-5 from 3) to help Team Air to the 141- 124 win over White and Team Flight.
Anthony showcased his offensive ability, especially his shot-making in the all-star game and it’s that ability which Syracuse fans are hoping to see in the Dome next season. Anthony added 5 rebounds, but he wasn’t able to match Carmelo’s 27 points scored back in the 2002 version of this game.

White came off the bench for Team Flight and he had 10 points on 4-5 shooting in 13 minutes of action. The two freshmen appear to reserves for next year’s Syracuse squad but they bring some strengths which this year’s team was lacking- Anthony’s scoring and White’s defense.
