After having the 10th-ranked scoring offense in the ACC and the 14th-ranking passing offense in the conference in 2021, Syracuse made a major shakeup to their offensive coaching staff. Dino Babers hired Robert Anae to be his new offensive coordinator. In 2021, Anae was the offensive coordinator at Virginia and helped coach the Cavaliers to the ACC's top passing attack and the fourth-ranked scoring team. Babers hopes Anae will bring more balance to the Orange's offense, and quarterback Garrett Shrader says that the new Syracuse offense will look much more explosive when they take the field in 2022.
