Could be a nice get for the Orange.
Dimon Carrigan, a class of 2018 center, has cut his list of schools to eight, according to his Twitter account.
Houston, Georgia Tech, Miami, Wichita State, UConn, Clemson, Texas and the Syracuse Orange are among Carrigan’s final eight schools.

247Sports ranks Carrigan as the 128th-best player in the 2018 class. The 6-foot-9 prospect is best known for his shot-blocking abilities, as he averaged over three per game at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam in front of Jim Boeheim just last month.
His shot-blocking numbers are the best ever recorded in the EYBL, according to USA Today. The circuit began back in 2014.
He also averaged 10 points and 10 rebounds in the summer’s most prestigious tournament, per D1Circuit.
Carrigan played for Cambridge Rindge & Latin High School this past year. However, he will suit up for Woodstock (Conn.) Academy this coming season. Carrigan also ran with Boston Amateur Basketball Club this summer on the EYBL circuit.
For obvious reasons, Carrigan would fit well as the rim protector in Jim Boeheim’s 2-3 zone. He’s widely regarded as the best shot blocker in the ‘18 class.
