This weekend is a place where I did not think we would get. I never thought that we would get to see college football being played. Before we start I am going to stop you from thinking I am a “coronabro,” or someone who was rooting against the season being played. I love college football. I LOVE IT!
I spend my weeks reading about college football with coaching changes, recruiting, and even facility upgrades. So don’t come at me with weak arguments that I really didn’t want the sport that I love to be played
The amount of games is different between conferences. Some have OOC games, while others are going with conference only. We won’t see the B1G or Pac-12 or MAC, or Mountain West. I think the team furthest west that is playing is BYU. This season is going to cause arguments on bar stools for years to come. Does the champion deserve an asterisk?
What would have happened if the B1G or Pac-12 played and Ohio State and Oregon could get into the mix. The Top15 is all over the place. The only sport on the planet where these arguments make sense.
We aren’t going to have a normal season by any stretch of the imagination. There may be starts and stops, we may not even get through the entire season. But when the ACC games get kicked off this weekend, I am going to be sitting here watching and enjoying every single moment of it.
